| Thermoelectric technology, long used for military, aerospace, medical instrument and refrigeration applications has been converted for use in a new line of portable, personal and family-sized water coolers. Thermoelectric solid-state modules are approximately the size of a thin wafer. These miniature devices utilize the Peltier effect by which the module emits heat that is rejected from one side as it absorbs cold on the other side when electricity passes through it.

TTX™ technology operates as a solid-state heat pump as DC current flows through it and heat is transferred from one side to the other, creating a hot and cold side.
TTX™ modules can be designed so that temperatures can be precisely controlled and maintained at a constant level. Utilizing Aquaport’s patented TTX™ Technology, in new mini-coolers has enabled product designs that create a small “footprint” on a countertop, desktop or tabletop. It also eliminates the noise and condensation mess typically associated with compressor motors previously required to maintain refrigerated temperatures. The result is a line of portable products that operate cleanly, quietly and in an environmentally-friendly manner without the energy drain of a traditional compressor.
